On October 10th 2011, PSV Eindhoven, the AIFF and the OSF concluded a deal to appoint Rob Baan as the technical director of the AIFF for the upcoming two years.
Almost two years ago the Orange Sport Forum was established to bring sport expertise to emerging markets. India was from day one our main target markets.
Since then, we have established a number of useful contacts in India. The appointment of Mr Baan is for us an important milestone in our route to India. We hope this will significantly contribute to the development of the soccer sport in India. Mr Baan will be entrusted with drafting a master plan for youth development and the creation of soccer talent centers. The talents we develop in these centers will be the core of the future Indian national team that must be able to compete with the best on international level. We have a strong believe this step will lead to new opportunities for Indo-Dutch cooperation, especially in the area of sports.
